This opportunity has potential: a line on a vita, possible basis for synthesis paper, and a free, all-expenses paid trip to San Francisco. Make sure you get all of the information regarding what is involved before you commit to this project. I have some information, but you also should contact Dr. Todorovic as well.
The Richard T. Doermer School of Business and Management Sciences Department of Management and Marketing would like to invite one of your graduate students to join us in the USF Business Plan competitions. The student will help our team with necessary presentation activities, communicating new venture potential to the Silicon Valley venture capitalists. These activities include, but not limited to, a 90 second elevator pitch and a 15 minute presentation. Our group will introduce a computer program that is able to take normal human speech, and translate it into sign language utilizing the proprietary 26 degrees of freedom technology. In essence, this technology incorporates the facial expressions and grimaces into the sign language presentation.
The selected grad student will travel to San Francisco on April 23 and stay there until April 27 . All expenses will be paid by our school.
Further, because the intellectual property being developed involves a software for the hearing impaired, this activity may also be useful as a basis for the synthesis paper.
We would ask that interested students contact Dr. Carr and Dr. Bill Todorovic (260-481-6940 or todorovz@ipfw.edu ) as soon as possible.
