JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Marketing Coordinator

Part Time, 10 – 15 hours per week.  Hourly pay.  

General Description: The person holding this position will be responsible for the development and weekly maintenance and content development of the ACSPCA Web Site.  Position will work in collaboration with the marketing committee, ACSPCA Director and the ACSPCA advertising agency.  This position is a Flex Time position in which much of the work can be done from home or other remote location.

Essential Functions:
•    Assist in the ongoing development of the ACSPCA Web Site.
•    Weekly content update of the ACSPCA Web Site.
•    Weekly update of ACSPCA available pets on www.petfinder.com

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and Word), Microsoft Windows operating systems, email and the Internet
•    Experience with, or ability to quickly learn the current ACSPCA Web development software
•    Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills
•    Be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently and correctly.
•    Be able to communicate skillfully and effectively with staff, volunteers.
•    Be able to perform multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
•    Be able to operate mechanical equipment such as telephone, computer keyboard and mouse, calculator and copy machine.
•    Be able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
•    Be able to handle difficult situations in a courteous manner.
•    Passion for small animals and the mission of the ACSPCA
•    Must be comfortable photographing dogs and cats
•    Detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized and possess the ability to work independently in a dynamic and deadline-oriented environment.

Working Conditions:
•    May be subject to frequent interruptions
•    Position offers the opportunity for a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work part of the weekly hours from home or other remote location.

Minimum qualifications:
•    At least 18 years of age
•    Photography experience preferred, but not required
•    Experience in Web Site development and maintenance
•    Reliable transportation

Some End of the Semester Stuff

As we wind down fall semester, please keep in mind the following important dates:

  • 22 Dec: The last date we can process post-baccalaureate applications for Spring 2009; and the last date I can clear students to register for Spring 2009
  • 8 Jan 2009: The first day I will be available for grad student advising
  • 12 Jan: The first day of classes

Additionally, please note that we can no longer process applications for regular admission in to the graduate program for Spring 2009.
