The Department of Psychology is seeking applicants for the position of Graduate Student Teaching Assistant for Elementary Psychology – PSY 120 (Fall Semester 2009)
Candidates should be familiar with IPFW’s Blackboard Vista, and have taken at least 9 hours of undergraduate psychology classes.
Duties shall include, but not be limited to
· attending the PSY 120 lecture class on a regular basis,
· meeting (briefly) with the PSY 120 instructor on a regular basis,
· assisting with the maintenance of the Blackboard website for the class,
· grading classroom quizzes and exams,
· grading short, required, “critical thinking” papers,
· responding to questions or inquiries from students via email
· assisting with the preparation of materials designed to enhance instruction in the classroom,
· providing guidance and instruction to those individual students who request such help either individually or in small groups, and
· when necessary, teaching a class or two throughout the semester.
This is a .25 position assisting Dr. Josh Gerow in a single large section of PSY 120.
